Cure Shield EX
One step, low VOC cure & seal containing silane
CureShield EX is a unique solvent-based blend of silane and non-yellowing acrylic copolymers designed to cure, seal, harden, and dustproof fresh concrete. It also provides additional protection against spalling and deterioration from de-icing salts, making it ideal for both fresh and existing concrete surfaces. This product is suitable for use with fugitive dye for DOT applications.

- Fast-drying compared to standard solvent-based products, designed to avoid bubbling, peeling, or blushing under rapid evaporation conditions.
Application
- New Concrete: Apply after the surface water has evaporated and the surface can bear traffic without being marred. Apply uniformly without allowing the material to puddle.
- Existing Concrete: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, or slightly damp, and free from oil, grease, dirt, and other contaminants. This application will refresh the concrete, making it brighter and easier to maintain.
- Coverage:
- Curing Fresh Concrete: 200 – 250 sq ft/gal.
- Aged Concrete: 200 – 300 sq ft/gal.
- Adjust coverage rate on broom or rough finished concrete due to increased surface area.
Packaging
Available in 55-gallon drums and 5-gallon pails.
Shelf Life
Two years from the date of manufacture when stored in original tightly closed containers. Avoid contamination with water, dirt, or other substances.
Standards
- Meets ASTM C309 and ASTM 1315 curing standards.
- Complies with VOC emission requirements (EPA limit < 350 g/L).
