Pave Cure AMS

High-solids white pigmented poly-alpha-methylstyrene curing compound

PaveCure AMS is a high-solids, white pigmented poly-alpha-methylstyrene (AMS) concrete curing compound. It forms a continuous membrane on concrete surfaces, significantly improving their durability by controlling curing. The white pigment reflects sunlight, maintaining cooler surface temperatures and preventing excessive heat buildup. This product is specifically designed for exterior, horizontal concrete surfaces such as highways, airports, and other paving applications.

  • Moisture Retention: Reduces plastic shrinkage cracks by retaining essential moisture during the curing process.
  • Enhanced Durability: Proper curing increases concrete’s longevity, compressive strength, and wear resistance.
  • High Reflectivity: Over 70% reflectivity helps in reducing surface temperature.
  • VOC Compliant: Meets the U.S. EPA Architectural Coatings Rule with a VOC content of less than 350 g/L.
  • Easy Application: Can be applied using manual or power sprayers without dilution.
  • Versatility: Suitable for use on new or aged concrete, ensuring broad application potential.

Application

  • Preparation: Ensure the concrete surface is clean, dry, and free from oils, grease, or any previous coatings.
  • Application Rate: Apply uniformly at a coverage rate of 200 sq ft per gallon. Avoid puddling to prevent uneven coating.
  • Curing Time: Allow each application to dry thoroughly before applying subsequent layers, if necessary.

Packaging

  • Available in 275-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, and 5-gallon pails.

Shelf Life

  • Store in original tightly closed containers at a location free from extreme heat or freezing conditions.
  • Shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture when stored as recommended.

Test Data

  • Moisture Loss:
    • At 24 hours: 0.14 kg/m²
    • At 72 hours: 0.24 kg/m² max
  • Water Reflectivity: Greater than 70%
