Pave Cure WW – TX Type II

High solids, white pigmented concrete curing compound

Pave Cure WW – TX TYPE II is a high-solids, water-based, white pigmented concrete curing compound designed to form a continuous membrane that ensures strong and durable concrete by controlling curing. The white pigment in the compound reflects the sun’s rays, reducing heat buildup on the surface. This product is ideal for use on exterior, horizontal surfaces such as highways, airports, and street paving, and meets the maximum VOC content limits of 350 g/L as required by the U.S. EPA Architectural Coatings Rule.

  • Moisture Retention: Helps reduce plastic shrinkage cracks by effectively retaining moisture within the concrete.
  • Durability: Enhances the long-term durability and strength of concrete surfaces.
  • Performance: Increases compressive strength and wear resistance, making it suitable for high-traffic areas.
  • Reflectivity: High reflectivity helps keep the concrete surface cooler and prevents excessive heat buildup.
  • Environmental Compliance: VOC compliant, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations.

Application

  • Surface Preparation: Should be applied as soon as the surface water has disappeared and the surface can withstand foot traffic without damage.
  • Application Method: Apply using a manual sprayer, power sprayer, or paving train, ensuring uniform coverage without creating puddles, at a recommended rate of 200 sq ft per gallon.
  • Curing Time: Quickly forms a protective layer to facilitate the curing process.

Packaging

  • Available in 275-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, and 5-gallon pails.

Shelf Life

  • Store in the original tightly closed containers at a location free from extreme temperatures. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat above 100°F.
  • Shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.

Standards

  • Standards Met: Complies with ASTM C-309, Type II, Class A, and AASHTO M-148, Type II, Class A. Also meets CRD C 300 specifications for specific states.
  • VOC Compliance: Meets emission requirements for curing and sealing compounds with an EPA limit of less than 350 g/L.

Cleaning

  • Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. For removing cured or residual material, use SpecChem Solvent 100 or another appropriate cleaning solvent.
